NEST Telemdicine and eHealth Summit 26th Nov. 2012
After years of successful research telemedicine and eHealth Systems get increasing attention, not only in Germany.A variety of devices, interfaces, software, and hardware, tested in different research programs (e.g. SmartSenior) and daily routine proves the market readiness of telemedicine and eHealth Systems. Mainly small and medium companies offer telemedicine solutions, but they are often focused on single solutions with a technical perspective, the overall service is mostly missing. Service-oriented companies might close these gaps but they often have an
incomplete view of the necessary technology to satisfy these new and complex market demands. So, many questions are still unanswered.
The NEST Telemedicine and eHealth Summit wants to address all important questions regarding the global use of telemedicine:
• How expensive is telemedicine for the patient and for the society?
• How can we bundle single solutions to a valuable service?
• Which company(ies) can act as a single source supplier for telemedicine services?
• How can other countries benefit from our experience?
• What are the necessary steps between product research and market launch?
The NEST Telemedicine and eHealth Summit, on November 26th 2012, held in the historic Rudolf-Virchow Lecture Hall (“Ruine”) will give answers to all those questions. 10 hours (from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.) of interesting presentations, international guests, practical examples, and intensive talks may give you a deep impression of telemedicine products, interfaces and
services.
Expand your network or just get in contact with companies that already have the appropriate telemedicine product to your current needs.
Enjoy the upcoming event (agenda) and do not hesitate to register today (mailto: summit@nest-telemedizin.de).
We are looking forward to see You in Berlin!
Health Made in Germany - The Export Initiative of the German Health Care Industry
The "Export Initiative for the German Health Care Industry" is similar to the existing export initiatives for "Renewable Energies" and "Energy Efficiency." These are aimed specifically at supporting particular economic sectors' efforts to increase exports. Germany Trade and Invest and Germany's Federal Ministry of Economics (BMWi) are implementing the program, which has a total budget of EUR 2.1 million and an initial duration of two years. One of the initiative's main emphases is to create a network linking existing measures to promote health care industry foreign trade. With this aim in mind, a website was created to present existing publications, trade missions and background information. The website was designed to make it easy for companies to find the information they need. In addition, the initiative carries out supplementary marketing. In this context, "The Export Initiative of the German Health Care Industry" takes the diversity of the health care industry into particular account by consulting different working groups as it operates. (At the moment, these groups are limited to the areas of pharmaceuticals, medical technology, medical biotechnology and telemedicine/health care-related services.) Together with GTAI, these groups discuss and assess marketing strategies. If the assessments are positive, efforts are made to implement them promptly.NEST e.V. is committed to the working group "telemedicine and health-related services."
